On October 15, 2020, the Risk Management Agency (RMA) published Updated Nursery Crop Insurance Recordkeeping Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). https://www.rma.usda.gov/en/News-Room/Frequently-Asked-Questions/Nursery-Insurance-Recordkeeping. They involve questions such as how does a producer know they qualify for insurance, what documentation is necessary to obtain insurance, what are considered acceptable records and supporting documentation, do all plants in the county have to be insured, what unit structures are available, how long must inventory records and supporting documentation be kept, and what is required if the insured nursery inventory has suffered damage do to a insured cause of loss.
ANALYSIS – The FAQs contain useful information, which seems accurate, but it is not clear what has been updated or changed from the previous FAQs or why the FAQs needed updating.
