On June 24, 2020, the Risk Management Agency (RMA) issued Product Management Bulletin: PM-20-039, announcing that the Federal Crop Insurance Board of Directors (Board) approved changes to the Pulse Crop Revenue program, including the Dry Bean Revenue Endorsement (DBRE) and Dry Pea Revenue Endorsement (DPRE) on May 21, 2020. https://www.rma.usda.gov/Policy-and-Procedure/Bulletins-and-Memos/2020/PM-20-039. RMA states that the DPRE added two dry pea types (Small Kabuli Chickpeas and Large Kabuli Chickpeas) in Emmons County, North Dakota and the DBRE added four dry bean types (Black, Dark Red Kidney, Navy, and Pinto) in Clearwater and Goodhue Counties in Minnesota. The expansion is effective for the 2021 and succeeding crop years.
ANALYSIS – This appears to be a routine expansion of the policy to include additional types and counties.
