On November 1, 2019, the Risk Management Agency (RMA) issued Product Management Bulletin: PM-19-059 announcing the harvest prices for certain crops and states.
ANALYSIS –
For corn in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin & Wyoming the price decreased from $4.00 a bushel to $3.90 a bushel. Organic prices decreased from $9.22 a bushel to $8.99 a bushel.
Corn prices in Arizona, California, and Nevada deceased from $401 a bushel to $3.90 a bushel. Organic corn prices decreased from $9.24 a bushel to $8.99 a bushel.
High-Amylose corn in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska & South Dakota decreased from $5.60 a bushel to $5.46 a bushel.
For cotton, the price seems to have decreased from $.74 a pound in all states, $.73 a pound in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas, and $.73 a pound in Missouri, Tennessee, Texas & Virginia to $.63 a pound and organic decreased from $1.16 a pound in all states and $1.15 pound in the other states to $1.05 a pound.
For grain sorghum, for all states other than Texas, the price seems to have declined from $3.94 a bushel to $3.84 a bushel. For organic practices, the price declined from $8.34 to $8.13 a bushel.
For peanuts runner type in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina the price declined from $.2084 a pound to $.2070 a pound. In Texas, the price declined from $.2084 to $.2082. In New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia the price declined from $.1915 to $1899 a pound.
For peanuts Spanish type in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas the price declined from $.2729 a pound to $2712 a pound. In New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas the price declined from $.2509 a pound to $$.2488 a pound.
For peanuts Virginia type in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina the price declined from $.2209 a pound to $2195 a pound. In New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia the price declined from $.2049 a pound to $.2032 a pound.
For peanuts Valencia type in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas the price declined from $.2049 a pound to $$.2032 a pound.
For popcorn in all states except Alabama and Michigan, the price declined from $.1720 a pound to $.1677 a pound.
For long grain rice type in California, Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee the price increased from $.108 a pound to $.118 a pound. For organic, the price increased from $.145 to $.158 per pound. For organic, the price increased from $.210 a pound to $.229 a pound.
For medium and short grain rice in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma and Tennessee the price increased from $.114 to $.125. For organic, the price increased from $.153 to $.168. In California, the price increased from $.157 to $.171 per pound.
For soybeans in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas with February 28 sales closing date the price decreased from $9.55 a bushel to $$9.25 a bushel. For organic the price declined from $19.07 a bushel to $18.47 a bushel. For soybeans in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Washington and Wisconsin the price declined $9.54 a bushel to $9.25 a bushel. Organic prices declined from $19.05 a bushel to $18.47 a bushel.
For sunflowers oil type the price decreased from $.167to $.161 a pound. For organic practices, the price decreased from $.299 to $.288 a pound.
For sunflowers confectionary types, the price decreased from $.225 a pound to $.219 a pound.
